Description and Overview

Flipgrid is a video discussion platform. Faculty and students can create 15 second-5 minute videos to share and  respond to videos posted by others. Rather than text discussions, flip grid allows participants show excitement, inflection and creativity.  Available on tablets, computers (both MAC & PC) and idevices.

Powtoon

Description and Overview

powtoon logoA web-based video presentation tool allowing users to create content from scratch or use powtoon’s library of free, ready-made “drag-&-drop” templates, animations, graphics, fonts, sounds/music, etc. Users have the option to import existing .ppt Powerpoint files to help create animated presentations. Additional features include importing your own images, audio files, with capabilities to create voice-overs directly within powtoon. The tool allows for exporting to YouTube, storing on Powtoon, and/or embedding into other 3rd party options such as Book Creator.

Zoom

Description and Overview

Zoom is a web conferencing program used by several schools in PALNI. If your school does not subscribe, you can sign up for a free Zoom account, and host short meetings (40 mins or less) of up to 100 participants. It includes features like screen share, recording, and break out rooms for discussion.
